TREASURE MOUNTAIN — a pirate’s tale

Everyone loves an adventure and a good laugh. Treasure Mountain, a family movie filmed in the Sea to Sky Corridor has a taste of both. It features two bright and spirited girls, Natalie and Kelly, who inadvertently stumble upon a clue while doing a class assignment on the town’s legends. The clue leads them to an old abandoned house where the mystery begins. The house belonged to an old eccentric man, a descendant from a notorious pirate whose ship sank off the coast along with the treasure. The treasure was never found. As more clues are discovered, the girls enlist the help of a four legged friend.

The clues lead them into an old copper mine, deep into the woods, the mountains, caves, and across deadly lakes. Hot on their trail following his own leads is a real pirate, who traveled far, who along with his nephew Marco and a local bumbling dogcatcher, Wally, is determined to find the treasure before they do.

The movie is rated G (General). It is the kind of movie that a whole family can enjoy together. It stars Nadine Sykora, Camille Clarke and Travis Taylor Woods, and features Mark McConchie and Doreen Ramus (Scary Movie). Produced by Sea to Sky Entertainment (Wild Wind, Madam Rose), the story was first pitched at the prestigious MIP TV festival to a warm reception. This movie is approximately 1 hr and 44 minutes long.
